The Anvil Horizontal Main Tube Mitering System
There is nothing else like it. Many have tried copying it, but this is the original, the best, and the whole enchilada.
It has a huge capacity holding any tube size from 5/8″/16mm to over 2.5″/63.5mm in diameter and even bigger than that for shaped tubes. Want to hold a tapered, shaped, or bent tube? No problem. Want to use it to miter a chainstay or a seatstay? How about a unicrown fork blade? It can do it all with tube blocks that follow a taper and have up to 900-lbs of clamping pressure.
Notice how the moving block rides on rails and the tube is held well above the bed of the mitering system so you’re not working in the chips (cuttings). That makes for easy maintenance and clean up. Its super wide interlocking jaw opening means no threading tubes through tube blocks, no buying new blocks, or more likely having to make your own because other manufacture’s systems can’t or won’t support you.
Could it get any better? Why yes, it can. It can also do center-to-center mitering using its inlaid scale and dedicated size blocks. AND, it also has a super burly miter phase indexer to keep your miters in or out of phase that uses quick change, no tools, dummy tubes.
The Anvil Horizontal Main Tube Miter System sells for $1,850USD and includes:
- Rotary Table Adapter
- Anvil exclusive interlocking universal Vee-blocks
- Dedicated size tube blocks for 1″/25.4mm, 1.125″/28.6mm, 1.25″/31.7mm, 1.375″/35mm, & 1.5″/38mm tubes

The rotary table we recommend is the Phase II Horizontal/Vertical 8″ Rotary Table Mfr. part #221-308. This rotary table is a great “bang for the buck” and is available from a wide range of industrial supply distributors such as MSC, Travers, Shop Tools, and others. Phase II’s rotary table product page is here.
